Nick Priest has extensive experience in construction management, contract administration,
inspection, estimating, and scheduling. He is a fourth generation Construction Contractor/Consultant.
He has learned the skills by “hands on” experience in many of the trades, including grading, underground utilities, carpentry, plumbing, concrete, roofing, waterproofing, wiring, water and fire damage restoration.

 

Nick has considerable experience in the evaluation and preparation of insurance claims. He has
performed various types of analyses, such as delay, productivity, cost, and the determination
of damages. He has provided numerous reports on construction defect claims and given
expert witness testimony. His professional reports combined with digital and thermal imaging
have been valuable in assessing and documenting damages and allocating fault.

 

Nick has worked as construction manager and general contractor on numerous turnkey
projects where his duties have included, land development, permit and code related issues,
boundary, easement, and title issues, project planning, budgeting, material and finishes
selections, coordinating the “in-house” project architects and engineers, establishing a construction
budget, and managing the construction of the project through the execution of the sales documents.

 

Notable projects Nick has worked on include “Black Horse Estates” 60 Custom homes.
- “Prospect Glen” 48 Single family homes.- “Park Avenue” 103 Row homes.- “Promenade
Square” 28 Row homes.- “Corners Promenade” 31,000 Square feet of Office and restaurant space.

 

Since a career ending baseball injury at the University of Southern California, Nick has
managed projects in excess of $200 million with individual projects valued over $48 million
and with 40 employees on the project at a given time. He has constructed more than 250 homes,
serviced more than 500 homes, managed over 70,000 square feet of commercial construction,
determined the nature, extent and value of construction defects and inspected numerous fire and
water related losses. Services are provided to individual owners, insurance companies, contractors and law firms. His jury trial experience includes testifying, preparing examinations and computerized 3D models.

 

Nick resides in Tigard Oregon with his wife Tracy of six years and two sons Matthew and
Joshua. In his spare time Nick enjoys sporting activities with his family, such as Taekwondo,
football, baseball, golf, swimming, and wrestling around the house.

Don Hennig has been in practice as a Professional Engineer over 35 years. Don’s professional experience includes 30 years facilities management and construction project management/contracts experience for development of sites and construction and renovation of industrial, commercial and institutional buildings in Oregon, Washington, California, Puerto Rico, Mexico, Canada and Japan. 

 

Mr. Hennig has been responsible for design management, design reviews, packaging of bid drawings and specifications, RFP process, award, administration and closeout of contracts for all phases of construction. Don has been owner’s project manager for domestic and international capital projects for Intel and Epson.  Don has decades of progressively responsible project management experience for construction management firms, general contractors and subcontractors. 

 

Since 1998, Mr. Hennig’s practice has included “third party” independent technical reviews, reports and certifications. Don has served as expert witness and has provided litigation support  both supporting and defending Construction Defect (CD) claims. Construction Claims litigation support clients include governmental agencies, (US Army Corps of Engineers-COE), contractors and owners. 

 

Don has extensive experience in design management and construction management processes.  Don is experienced with forensic review of project files to create timelines and to identify critical issues and events. Conformance and nonconformance with the General Specifications and evaluation of submittals and transmittal logs are often critical issues.  Don’s investigation and analysis of project documents and field investigations of CD claims support award or denial or allocation of awards.

John Delson has been in practice as a Professional Engineer for over 20 years. John’s professional experience includes design and forensic engineering in structural design of wood frame, masonry, tilt-up, concrete and steel buildings and structures, retaining walls systems, foundation on piles, special structural observations, evaluations and retrofit of existing structures. Projects include structures in the states of Oregon and Washington as well as the countries of Germany, Poland, and the Czech Republic. 

 

John Delson has been responsible for design and structural design reviews of commercial and residential projects, project coordination with contractors and sub-contractors and projects supervision. Past projects include multi-family buildings, industrial facilities, commercial structures, and single family residences.

Noal Kraft has over 20 years of professional experience in the industrial hygiene industry addressing environmental, health and safety, mold, asbestos, indoor air quality and lead-based paint concerns.

 

Noal’s experience comes from years on both sides of the desk.  He has performed thousands of site inspections and managed hundreds of hazardous material remediation projects.  His clients have included residential, commercial, retail, industrial, health care, hospitality and insurance.  His experience includes all aspects of a given project, including on-site inspection, sampling, assessments/recommendations, site specific operations and maintenance plan development, remediation scope of work and specifications, project management, contract management, bid process, project oversight and clearance testing.  The success of these are achieved through communication with his clients, understanding of the regulatory agency requirements , and working with both to find the best solutions.

 

As the director of the Las Vegas office for a west coast based health and safety consulting firm for several years, Noal was able to gain knowledge and experience in construction defect litigation cases, residential builder warranty issues, as well as high profile hospitality and commercial environmental concerns.

 

Notable projects that Noal has worked on include the management of a nationwide water intrusion/mold program for a Fortune 500 company with over 1,600 sites nationwide.  This involved program development with their corporate risk management and maintenance teams to address concerns of employees and clients.  Noal’s team continues to provide on-site response throughout the US and Canada, conducting IAQ evaluations and assessments, testing and providing recommendations.  As part of the turn-key service, he also develops remediation specifications, coordinates bids from qualified companies, reviews work plans, and handles the contract administration.  Once a project is under way, on-site project management is provided, along with clearance testing to ensure that the project is completed to the best industry standards.

 

In addition to the project management services for large projects throughout the US, Noal has been the project manager for asbestos and lead issues on several high profile Superfund sites in both Oregon and Washington.  His role included all aspects related to the these specific hazards such as, inspections, design, scope of work, project management, industrial hygiene monitoring and establishing site/hazard safety plans.

 

Noal resides in Beaverton with his fiance.  When he isn’t busy planning their wedding in 2010, he enjoys golf, skiing, mountain biking and music.

Dan has over 20 years of professional experience as an industrial hygienist and in the construction industry. He is a survey and project design professional for commercial buildings, industrial facilities and residences.  He uses CAD to aid his strong and straightforward project designs for abatement and remediation projects.

 

From his start as an electrician and through involvement in construction management and construction, Dan has acquired an in depth knowledge of the built environment.  This knowledge gives him unique insight when approaching a project, with regard to materials locations and contaminant pathways.

 

Dan has extensive experience in the oversight of mold investigation and remediation design for large, multi-facility clients as well as the oversight of remediation projects in sensitive, occupied facilities.

While Dan was the Director and Sr. Project Manager of large regional industrial hygiene consulting firm, he served as Asbestos Program Manager for two years.  Dan ensured that employees were in compliance with environmental and health/safety regulations and identified environmental hazards in commercial and industrial sites to meet Federal, State, and local compliance requirements. 

 

Prior to joining the Portland based firm, Dan was a principal and manager of Resource Consultants, Inc. where he coordinated projects with clients, managed teams of employees and direct field operations, and trained personnel in both fieldwork and report writing. 

 

Dan resides in Canby Oregon with his wife Christina of 18 years.  They have a son, Andrew, and daughter, Emily and are expecting another son in early 2010.  In his spare time, Dan enjoys small plot farming, skiing, football, economics, reading, fishing and remodeling.
